I decided to pick up a camera and try to learn how to shoot and I ended up learning while trying to shoot volleyball. Indoor volleyball was where I started, that eventually moved to the beach where I truly am at home. I've gone from shooting local beach volleyball tournaments to events like this one above, a 5 start major that hosts the world's best beach volleyball players, all going for the gold. This shot of Barbara is one of my favorites, it really shows the amazing athleticism that sport requires but also how beautiful and grandiose that game is at this level. A packed house for the semi-final match that decides if you go to play for Gold or Bronze. Everything is left out on the sand...
